Forests and Public Lands

CATs has led to the reduction of many pesticides in forestry practices in California.

CATs critiques and officially comments on thinning, “forest health” and fuel reduction projects that allow for commercial harvesting, large clearing and a level of disturbance that introduces invasive plants and creates a situation for future herbicide use.

For information about proposed management plans in California's National Forests, visit the Forest Service's website to view the Schedule of Proposed Action (SOPA) for a Forest near you.

If you would like information on how you, as a member of the public, can comment on management plans by federal and state agencies contact info@alt2tox.org with your specific questions.
